Gary brings over 25 years of experience in accountancy and business operations to his role as managing director.

Since joining the business in June 2024 and taking on leadership in April 2025, he has focused on building robust processes, promoting collaboration and driving sustainable growth. With a background spanning the manufacturing, food and packaging industries, Gary combines deep financial expertise with a practical, people-focused approach to management. He believes that strong results come from clear systems, open communication and a culture where every team member feels valued and empowered to contribute.

Louise has been part of the Hawkins Electrical team for four years, specialising in energy and electrical solutions that help customers power their projects efficiently. She oversees all supply-only sales and manages purchasing and operations for Hawkins installation services, ensuring everything runs smoothly from initial enquiry to completion. Louise is passionate about building strong client relationships and delivering a reliable, high-quality service every step of the way.

Salima brings over 20 years of experience in new business development across a variety of industries and sectors. Throughout Salima’s career, she’s had the opportunity to work with amazing teams and clients, helping to build strong relationships and create solutions that truly make a difference. Salima is driven by the challenge of understanding unique business needs and finding ways to meet them while surpassing client expectations –  it’s something she is truly passionate about.

What really excites her about her role is the chance to contribute to a business and group that are at the forefront of innovation and sustainability. Salima is excited to be a part of that journey, collaborating with talented colleagues, and helping both companies continue to grow and thrive.

Leon started with Hawkins as an apprentice and worked as a senior technician for several years before stepping up to regional management in the western region in 2022.

Steve joined Hawkins as an apprentice and continued to serve as a senior technician for multiple years before starting his own business. He returned to Hawkins as a regional manager in 2019 and has quickly cemented himself as a key member of the team, being promoted to his current role of associate director in 2024.

Lawrence initially joined Hawkins Electrical as a third-year apprentice electrician in 2010 and achieved his electrical qualification in 2012. He enjoyed four years ‘on the tools’ before gaining experience in the domestic, commercial and industrial sectors of the industry with another large, well-respected local contractor.

In 2018, he rejoined Hawkins Electrical as a regional manager, taking his next step up the career ladder, which was an opportunity not to be missed. The team warmly welcomed him back, and he quickly settled back into the office. Some seven years later, Lawrence progressed to associate director, which he was elated and honoured to have been afforded. Day to day, Lawrence runs the eastern region of the company, dealing with all operations from small remedial works to large development projects and everything in between.

When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family and three children, paddleboarding, and, ironically, getting away in his touring caravan, which makes him smile when hooking up to a Hawkins Electrical pedestal and endlessly boring his partner with “see that unit there – we did that!”

Sam is responsible for operations in the northern UK region. He joined us in 2016. His background in design and retail management gave him invaluable experience and qualifications to take up his current role in 2022.
